Project: Me

I’m on a mission and a journey to become a better, more well-rounded person. I have a desire to become better at every title I am; mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, but also, become a better me. A happier me, a “me” I can love to see when I look in the mirror. I decided on this months ago, but I had too many expectations of myself and instead of easing into this change, I expected myself to change over night. For the new year, I have decided to start again with smaller expectations and goals to be re-evaluated and rewritten the first of every month.

My goals for the year 2011 (so far):

  • Finish a knitting project and be proud of it
  • Read the Bible (I want to read all religious texts eventually)
  • Enroll in school
  • Organize my life
  • Read at least 25 books
  • Start keeping track of what goes into my body using MyPlate
  • Drink less soda, more water
  • Exercise 3-4 times a weeks
  • Get in shape
  • Walk/Run a marathon
  • Join a “mommy and me” playgroup
  • Take a little time for me every week
  • Pay off all debt
  • Visit as many landmarks in the Virginia-DC area as possible
  • Build up my self-confidence and get some boudoir photos taken
  • Take the kids to the park more often
